What Lies Beneath

What a fab evening! Lee and I took my mom to an Underground Dinner at Turbine Hall in Newtown, downtown Jozi. The original architectural structure started life in the late 1920s as the city's first power station, and has recently been converted into an industrial chic events space, hosting everything from weddings to corporate functions, and this ingenious monthly pop-up restaurant in the cavernous belly of the building, amidst the old turbines. If you haven't been yet, put it on your bucket list - it's well worth every cent!

Cure for cabin fever

So, I've been stuck at home nursing a snotty, barking toddler since Sunday, and today I just couldn't take it any longer. I needed to get out of the house, and decided I'd go check out a handful of places nearby that I've been hearing or reading about a lot lately. My small human was beautifully behaved, and what a fun, fabulous little excursion it turned out to be!
